But we are under Grace. We do not flog prisoners anymore. We do not burn women to death anymore. We no longer stone people for adultery or breaking the sabbath. We no longer torture, main, cripple, or eviscerate prisoners of war. Why is there so much emphasis in the evangelical world on severe, bare bottom spanking? It is unreason, to me. God gave us brains to think. And did not Paul warn fathers not to provoke children to wrath? I believe as much as anyone else in the basic fundamental and dispensational reading of the Bible.
