MaryJanesFarm Magazine and Shoshanna Pearl
I received an email late last week saying:
I have come across your website about TTUAC, and while I don’t agree with everything you write about :-), I am glad you are taking a stand against TTUAC, and applaud you for that.
I also see that you have an online petition against the book at Amazon.
The reason I am writing is that one of my favorite magazines, Mary Janes Farm now has a full page ad for Shoshanna Pearls’ Making Babies. I was frankly disgusted and very saddened to see that because I really, really love this magazine, but now I don’t think I can continue taking it.
I don’t know if you have a spot for this on your blog, or at any of the other sources you visit often, but I would like as many people as possible to write to the publisher/editor of this magazine to voice our objections to this advertisement. About a year ago I posted about Mary Jane’s Farm Magazine running a full-page ad for the Bulk Herb Store (Owned by Shoshanna Pearl) and suggested that someone might want to tell them about the Pearls and what they teach. I did not give the above email address so maybe the correct person is still unaware. Or maybe they just don’t care.

First of all, I’m not sure what TTUAC stands for. second of all, what is so wrong with Shoshanna Pearl’s making babies. She has wonderful homepathic ideas to develop a strong and beautiful baby all naturally. It seems more of the oppositon to her is about how she chooses to raise her babies not develop them. And, isn’t it that, just an opinion. Each of us gets to choose how we care for our children, that is our God given right. Now, I understand that there are people out there that always take things to the extreme but it is that way with everything. As for you threatening Mary Jane’s Farm about having her article in her magazine, and you think you will have to quit your subscription. Go ahead, quit. Stop threatening. Sounds like your mom should have had a little more discpline when you were young and not given in to your temper tantrums. We don’t always get our way in life. Go find another magazine where you will fit in! Kudos to Mary Janes Farm
TTUAC stands for To Train Up A Child, the child training book which was written by Michael and Debi Pearl, Shoshanna’s parents. The purpose of this blog is to argue against the teachings of that book. Those of us who chose to boycott that book and anything which is funded by sales of that book are interested to know that Mary Jane’s Farm is advertising Shoshonna’s book. Therefore I share that information with them. If you think that it’s parents’ God given right to abuse their children, then this blog is obviously not your cup of tea.
