I come from a family of meany levels of abuse , but if you don’t make your children submit they will grow into completely disrespectful adults spare the rod spoil the child
The Bible says, “Children, obey your parents,” and “Parents, do not exasperate your children.” It does not say, “Parents, force your children to submit.” If you look further into grace based discipline, you will see children obeying out of love, not out of fear. And by the way, “Spare the rod spoil the child” is not a quote from the Bible. Just saying.
