It bothers me that what the Pearls teach is lumped in with “spanking” as if this is a “to spank or not to spank” controversy. In actuality, people who oppose or support spanking have SERIOUS concerns about what Michael Pearl teaches. It goes far beyond spanking, to the whole paradigm of “win at all costs”. . . I think that if the MSM focuses on the “spanking” aspect of it, then people will judge it based on that alone, rather than the deeply flawed and abusive teachings he actually promotes.
I agree. They really confuse the issue, focusing on starting controversy where there is none because they get better ratings. Well, that and because Pearl confuses them by making it about spanking. Then they jump on that opportunity to get the ratings. Anyone listening to him without doing tons of study will get confused.
