Williams Trial – Day 20: Testimony of Williams Family Friend

Friday, August 23, 2013 the Defense started calling their witnesses.  In the morning was testimony from a Forensic Anthropologist who estimated Hana’s age to be 15 but could be between 13-17 according to Gina Cole.  In the afternoon were character witnesses.  Interestingly, a family friend claimed that she made unannounced visits to the Williams home.  Since they lived behind a locked gate, there must have been some kind of announcement made before they entered the actual residence.  Some people don’t seem to understand how different people can be when outsiders are around. I sincerely hope that the jury does not fall into that category.

I have not found very much news from this day. Your best source of news may be #WilliamsTrial.  As always, if I find more news stories about this day, I will add them to this post.

People that abuse like that often have control over the people they are abusing therefore the victims in child abuse stay quiet and sure there wasn’t abuse going on when company came. Also I am sure they were told to be on good behavior. I’m sure the two adopted kids were already at a point where they were afraid to tell besides most of the time it was just the family members , the oldest who have testified against the parents. Also it sounded like it was usually only relatives that came over including the grandparent who came over with a bigger switch to use on the two kids. I wonder if that Grandparent could be charged on a lesser charge after the trial for also encouraging the behavior and not going to a counselor, person in the clergy and confiding in them about the violent and long going abuse at the hands of those parents. So sad that they would also pass this behavior of abuse to their own children and encouraged it. So happy the biological children are out of that household and in the real world, hopefully the parents will get prison for life for do all that sadistic stuff to this child over that long of time.

When we lived in California, we had friends who lived in a gated community. They gave us the code to the gate. All we had to do was enter the code and enter the complex. We always called in advance, but if we remembered the code, we wouldn’t have to. Some complexes are set up to where you have to “ring” the house you are going to before entering. That probably notifies them at the house but it all depends on the security system that is set up.

Interesting. However, from what I seem to recall in the photos and videos, they live behind a locked gate at the end of the driveway.
