iTunes
The Pearls are asking their followers to go to iTunes and leave positive ratings and reviews for their shows. We should probably go help balance that out. If you have iTunes, you can rate the podcasts. ( I believe you have to be in iTunes to do this) To the right of where it shows the stars in iTunes, there are five black stars. Click there to rate it. You’ll be prompted to sign into iTunes and then you can leave a review.

There is a sermon entitled “Salvation, Plain and Simple” in which Mr. Pearl talks about being stalked by his father and beaten for using a paintbrush without permission. He states that he used it and then hid it. He then attempted to pretend to find it when his father quizzed him about it. His father caught him lying and beat him even though the brush was returned, which is the pattern advocated in TTUAC — to give lickings even if the child obeys after the fact.

Several other incidents are mentioned as well. It gives the impression that Mr. Pearl’s “biblical chastisement” philosophy is not really drawn from Proverbs or the Bible in general, but in part from an extremely harsh upbringing which is in direct contrast to the precepts of the Lord Jesus.
Thank you. That is very interesting. Another example of how abuse continues through the generations.
