As I posted 2 weeks ago, Michael appeared on Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers on Feb 21.  I have just found that entire segment of the show on YouTube so I wanted to share it with you.  I  was pleased to see that one of the guests explained the results of cortisol on the brain and how it can cause damage.  They also discussed that one can discipline without spanking.

If parents love their children they’ll discipline them so spankling is needed only when a child is not behaivor well.

Discipline does not equal spanking. One can certainly discipline without hitting just as one can hit without disciplining.

Spanking/hitting is punishment, not discipline. Discipline means to teach and to guide! Hitting does neither!
