How would Jesus teach His children? He would discipline them, including with spanking.
The Bible is clear that God teaches His children, that is, Christians, not just through instruction and example, but through punishment to teach us lessons, even after our sins are forgiven.
I see that you are very convinced of this. So, what do you think of the example in the linked article? Also, while there are certainly consequences for our actions, our punishment was laid upon Jesus. Glory to His name!
